I finally registered for classes!!! I decided to go with a TTh schedule that starts at 10:00 with Media, Communications, and Culture and then goes to 3:30 when Diverse Sexualities and Culture is done. I took that because Chapman is teaching it and I need a diversity credit! :D Chapman is AWESOME! Anyway, two days a week schedule...I don't think I've ever done something like this before, let's hope it works out.

And now I must run and catch the bus!

Never Ending Dream Nov. 30th, 2008 @ 02:23 pm
Sal tossed and turned in bed, his face scrunched up as he dreamt. Gemini sat up on his elbow and wondered what was going through Sal's head...

"No, boy!" Sal twirled his staff and knocked over the young archangel, "You're too slow, I shouldn't be able to push you around like this!"

The boy wiped a trail of blood from the corner of his mouth and spat into the grass, "I'm doing the best I can!"

"Wrong!" snapped Sal, "If you were doing your best I wouldn't have to train you so hard...

"The target is dead."

"Good boy."

"Still calling me boy?"

"You're young."

"I'm old."

"No, you don't know what old is."

"I'm just a child to you?"

"Yes."

"Will I ever be a man?"

"Not to me."

Sal watched Gemini sit in the window watching the sunset, it turned his brilliantly white wings a fiery red and orange, the feathers almost seemed to glow. They were getting more and more recruits, the company was finally taking off the ground. Sal had just brought on a promising young man named Zoltan who even managed to make Gemini smile during testing. Charming kid.

Gemini looked over his shoulder at Sal, the fire caught in his sky blue eyes, "This is just a never ending dream."

"You scared?"

Sal shifted in the darkness and felt the feathers brush his cheek, "I've never been scared of the dark."

"Me neither," said Gemini, "But we still need to find a way out."

"We've been in tighter spots," said Sal with a grin that Gemini wouldn't be able to see.

"Figuratively or literally?" drawled Gemini.

"Uh, figuratively...this is probably the tightest place we've ever literally been."

"Never ending dream?" asked Sal, going to stand behind Gemini and look over his shoulder at the sun, "What are you talking about?"

Gemini closed his eyes, "I'm glad you came around in the end."

"Came around what? What's going on?" Sal put his hand on Gemini's shoulder, feeling a bit worried.

"I never want to be without you, I spend everyday thanking you for keeping me, for loving me back after all these years." Gemini turned in the window to face Sal and his wings blocked out most of the sun, throwing their shadows on the floor.

"My child...?" Sal took a hesitant step back.

"I'm not your child, I'm your man," Gemini dropped from the window and pulled Sal into a kiss.

Sal woke up with a gasp, briefly disoriented until a familiar weight rolled over him, "What were you dreaming about?" asked Gemini, laying over Sal's chest.

"Oh...just you," said Sal, "Just a never ending dream of you."

Gemini laid his down on Sal's chest, closing his eyes, "Go to sleep Sal, you're such a sap sometimes."

Sal grinned and snorted, "You're the one who said it first."

"What?"

"Nothing."

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Nov. 26th, 2008 @ 08:48 pm
"Come on Eli, you'll work yourself to death here, let's go out and have some fun!" Serpin had been wheedling all morning, and thought by noon that she was finally getting through to Link's wife. Eli and Link had been booked full lately, Link said it was probably the upcoming Holidays and people traveling to their families.

Whether that was true or not didn't concern Serpin, she just wanted to get Eli out on a dance floor so she could unwind. Link could take care of things for a little while. Eli was washing some dishes while Link crunched numbers in another room, Serpin could hear the clicking of the business calculator and the noise the paper made as it rolled up around Link's desk. Eli placed a plate on a towel and Serpin picked it up and started to dry it, "Just for tonight Eli, just a girls night out to unwind!"

Eli gave her a fond but exasperated look, "You're not going to let up until I say yes, are you?"

Serpin grinned, "You know me so well."

Eli finished the last plate and went to talk to Link while Serpin put them away. A few moments later Eli was walking back out of the office with a big grin on her face, "Link said it's fine, so let's go...I'll admit I'm kind of glad to be getting out of here for a while."

"Of course you are!" said Serpin, "Let's go to Demon's Lair and tease some cute guys!"

"I heard that!" called Link from the other room.

Eli laughed with Serpin as they left the Rise and Shine for the club. As soon as the bouncer saw them he let them in immediately, two gorgeous women were always welcome in any club. Serpin gave him a smile and a wink in thanks. The dance floor was pleasantly full and Serpin made sure to drag Eli right into the middle of it.

By the time they got out to a table they were both flushed and giggly. Serpin ordered some drinks and they talked about anything that came into their heads.

"Listen, I love Thomas more than anyone," slurred Serpin, both of them more than a little drunk by this point, "But I dunno if we'll ever get married, you know?"

"Marriage is like...dating...'cept you see that person ALL the time!" Eli took another shot and snickered, "'S not bad though."

Serpin smiled wistfully, "You think Thomas would marry me?"

"I think Thomas would tie his wings together and jump off a cliff for you," said Eli with a grin.

Serpin stood up and pointed to her body, "Who wouldn't jump off a cliff for this?!"

They both had a laugh at that.

By dawn they both stumbled into the Rise and Shine. Link was waiting up for Eli and took her off of Serpin's hands, carrying her gently to bed. She had no doubt that Link would then shoulder that day's work while Eli recovered from a hangover. Serpin sighed and found a empty room, what she wouldn't give to know Thomas would be with her forever. She was pretty sure that his mom hated her though...among other things.

"Ah well," Serpin whispered to herself, curling up under the blankets, "Girls just want to have fun anyway, who needs a ring too?"

Brrr Nov. 24th, 2008 @ 07:57 am
Frost on the ground! My mortal enemy... *narrowed eyes*

You know what I wish I had? Some fingerless gloves, that way I could keep warm but still be able to handle little things like my Zune.

I'm so close to having a complete Bleach collection (not counting all the books that aren't out yet of course) since I only need 17 and 19! Whoooo!!! Next project... YGO! That series is done, so once I finish collecting them...I won't have to worry about them again.

Okay, I'd better run and catch the bus...my throat is sore, I just know I'm going to be sick all week! I hope I give Rob (DM Rob) the flu.
